Why I Made The Story Cabinet

I wanted one place where my projects could live without pretending they all belong to the same genre, audience, or format.

The Story Cabinet is meant to hold the characters, worlds, notes, visual ideas, writing, and strange little thoughts that keep turning into much bigger projects. Some of those worlds are mine individually. Some are collaborations through Two Girls One Idea. They should be able to sit beside each other without losing the identity that makes each one different.

I also wanted the site to feel like an actual creative space instead of a résumé with projects attached to it. There are folders, notes, things still in development, and parts of the cabinet that stay closed until I am ready to show what is inside.

Strange ideas. Bigger worlds.

That is basically the pattern. One thought creates a question, the question creates a character or relationship, and eventually I am trying to organize an entire world that did not exist five minutes ago.

The cabinet will keep growing as the work grows.
